One of the best parts about Europe is being able to travel to different countries in less than an hour. Flights can be relatively cheap depending on the season and make it extremely easy to experience a variety of different cultures, foods, sights and people in just a few days. Whether you're looking to experience the deep rooted history, flawless beaches, amazing shopping or delicious food there is something for everyone in this continent.
1) PARIS France
If you're just doing a quick layover or just want 1 day in Paris there are a few stops you must hit. Starting with the "Champs E'Lysé" walk the streets and window shop. Next be sure to stop at the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. Grab a coffee and take a stroll to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Don't forget to make your way through a street market to have a picnic out front of the Eiffel tower.
2) LONDON England
In England you can make multiple day trips and see multiple cities but the most popular city would be London. If its your first time in London you have to explore the streets and see the popular landmarks. Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards would be best in the morning when its not to busy. Westminster and Big Ben are major photo opportunities but make sure you check online first to see if Big Ben is still under construction. The London Eye is another major photo opportunity and can give you a view to see the entire city. Last Shakespeare's Globe Theater is almost the same building as it was when it was first built and is a must see.
3) ATHENS Greece
If you sadly only have one day in the Mediterranean it is extremely important to learn a little history in Athens. The city date back 3000 years ago but the buildings are still standing. The Acropolis, Parthenon, and Temple of Zeus are some of the most popular attractions to see. Check out the local markets in town for some fresh food and don't forget to buy some souvlaki with feta!
4) VENICE Italy
Venice Italy can easily be seen within a day if you would like to travel throughout Italy in a weeks span. Start the morning off with a walking tour and see the famous cobble stone alley ways. Head over to St. Marks Square to view the amazing buildings and shops. Buy some gelato, hop on a gonadal, relax and enjoy the floating city.
5) PRAGUE Czech Republic
A day in Prague will look almost identical to the photo below. Tons of red roof buildings all around the city. Start your day by visiting Old Town Square in the heart of Prague. Eat some new food, do some shopping and enjoy the culture. A 10 minute walk away is Charles Bridge, a very popular tourist hangout due to the amazing views. Prague Castle is another major tourist attraction that requires a short walk uphill but is so worth the trek. Once you get to the top, stop and enjoy the great photo opportunities.
